I would like to travel from the capital Vientiane to Sainyabuli. What is the best and the fast way to reach it?

I hope you have the time, as you will have to take a 16-hour night bus from Vientiane.

Yes theres no quick way to Sayaboury unfortunately.

The easiest way is via Luang Prabang - a 9-10 hour bus then double back on yourself 4 hours to Sayaboury.

Anoter way I%26#39;ve done it, by truck (but also possible by buses), is to go through Thailand to Kenethao on the good road, and then cross back into laos at Kenethao, and go up through Paklai to Sayaboury. The bus from Kenethao to Sayaboury would be slow and miserable though, as the road is very rough.
