Villa Maydou or Maison Souvannaphoum for 4 nights

Hi

Will be in Luang Prabang for 4 nights in early August, so far have been allocated the choice of the above 2 hotels to stay in. Have read good about both and having trouble making a decision OR should I look elsewhere? Wanting somewhere comfortable for the time in Luang Prabang before we embark on the 2 night boat to Thailand where we may not get much sleep.

You advice would be great.

For four nights ( 3 days) imo most tourists will spend most of their time exploring between say Phou si hill and the Peninsula.

So of the two I would pick the Maison Souvannaphoum.

Was just opening when I was there..very quiet area.

wow that place looks great. Is it well located like the Maison is? I wasn%26#39;t sure of that. Not that it appears to matter as it sounds like they%26#39;d happily carry you to wherever you want to go anyway!
