laos from china

hello - am a uk passport holder and will be going to laos next week from kunming china.

Have a few questions we are unable to find certain answers.

Are we able to get a visa at the boarder?

Are we able to get a 30 day visa at the boarder?

How much does it cost?

If we are going to the north are is our best bet ';plain of jars'; and then on to Luangua prabang or Luangua prabang to the plain of jars?

You can get a visa at the border at Boten. Not sure how much they cost now -$30-40?

If you are coming from Boten you get to Luang Prabang before PoJ. You take a bus from LP to Phonsavanh which is close to PoJ. Google some Laos maps.
