has anyone stayed at the Villa Santi Hotel in Luang Prabang. We are about to stay there in Feb 2009 but some of the reviews here make me worry. Is it really that dirty and worn down?
How much is the Taxi Fare from Luang Prabang Airport to Villa Santi Hotel?

Villa Santi Hotel and Taxi FaresDunno about that place, but trust the reviews you read if that%26#39;s what the majority reports. Lodging is overpriced in Luang Prabang and I would not pay that kind of money for a dump. You can find plenty of dumps for $15 or under. ;-p
There is a little counter right outside the airport that arranges vans (the only transport into town) and the fare is $5.
Villa Santi Hotel and Taxi FaresWe stayed at Villa Santi Resort and as we web booked we had foc taxi transfer vis Villa Santi Hotel.
Villa Santi offer a free hotel pickup service, but the airport desk charges a standard fair of USD5 for a minibus transfer.
Have stayed there a couple of times but not in the last couple of years. Don%26#39;t think it is the best value for money place in town these days - there%26#39;s a lot of newer hotels and guesthouses around.
