Luang Prabang to Siem Reap

Vietnam Airlines flies this route, non-stop. I prefer to fly Vietnam vs. Lao Aviation. Does anyone know how much this flight costs, one-way (on Vietnam Airlines)? There%26#39;s a schedule on the website, but no prices.

I decided we%26#39;d save 3 days of bus/train rides and hotels if we flew from LP to SR then overland by taxi back to Bangkok. Has anyone else done this?

Luang Prabang to Siem Reap

We have just booked the Vietnam airlines flight direct to Siem Reap for $US75 with a travel agent in Australia. Vietnam airlines helpfully advised me it would cost less to book it in Vietnam but the direct flight fills up quickly so we didn%26#39;t want to take the risk of missing out. Julie

Luang Prabang to Siem Reap

Hi Julie,

When are you traveling? I emailed Vietnam Airlines in Bangkok yesterday and they quoted me THB $7100 or something, which equaled $225 USD, one way. We%26#39;re flying in two weeks, so maybe that%26#39;s why it%26#39;s so pricey.

I did the math, and if we went by land it would cost $150 each with train, bus, food and accomodations and it would take 3 days, so $225 is not so bad I guess.

Thanks for the reply.

I bought a ticket for this flight in the uk last year and it cost £75 one way, unfortunately I lost the paper ticket and had to buy another one at the airport, I was charged $210 despite the flight being half full

Thanks Paulo. I found your other post, went to Expedia and the price is $227 one way ($4 more). The Bangkok office said I had to pay cash, with Expedia I can pay with a credit card. Thanks for the tip!

How are you getting these prices? I just got quoted $450 on Vietnam airlines from a Flight Centre in Adelaide, and same route on Expedia is around $900, that%26#39;s more than we%26#39;re paying to fly from Australia! Can%26#39;t seem to make the Vietnam airlines or Lao airlines web booking engines work either..Would we be better off trying to fly to Vientienne and then get Air Asia to Siem Reap?

Any help would be really appreciated

Not sure if you%26#39;re flying soon or not, but we flew from HCMC to siem reap last november 20th (or thereabouts) and it cost us a massive amount (AUD$400), so we did it anyhow, but it was huuuuuge in cost. it was all we could get.

penstar1000, I got that price from trailfinders in the uk, a travel agent and I have also used alternativeairlines.com, but I%26#39;m not sure if they%26#39;d be any good for you in NZ

Expedia is quoting me $237 one way Luang Prabang to Siem Reap on Vietnam Airlines. I will be taking this flight in mid-Jan.
