confirmation of flight - lao airlines

Hi All,

Is there any way to confirm our flight on Lao Airlines? We are flying on December 29, 2008 from Luang Prabang to BKK. Should we do this in person when we arrive in Bangkok? The website does not facilitate for this. Has anyone had any experience with this?

On my visits we have always asked our hotel/agents in Laos to reconfirm flights at least 48 hours before-just as well because we had a time change and a double booking on one occasion.

If your hotel has a travel desk they should be able to do this for you, or alternatively any travel agent should be able to help.

Personally have never found it necessary to reconfirm the flights, but normally I only buy a week or so in advance at most.

I had no trouble boarding Lao Air flights in and out of Luang prabang without re-confirming. In fact the only time in this day and age where flights need to be reconfirmed is if you missed the outbound leg of a flight, the airline%26#39;s computer system will flag you as a possible no-show for the return leg. If you%26#39;re still concerned, ask your hotel to ring the airline office to re-confirm.
