Villa Maydou or Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel

Have to choose between staying at either the Maydou or the Maison for 4 nights in August. Any opinions on which one to select, both seem to have much going for them?

Just to let you know both of these are in Luang Prabang (presume you just have the wrong forum rather than going to the wrong city!). Personally I would pick Villa Maydou, but haven%26#39;t actually stayed at either, only visited to check them out,

I am wanting somewhere nice to stay for the 4 nights before we start the boat cruise, which would you recommend in Luang Prabang?

BTW - is it rude to ask what your connection is with the Beau Rivage. At least I know the information you gave me is accurate.
