Red Cross herbal sauna

I%26#39;ve been to the herbal sauna at Wat Sok Pa Luang in VTE, its across from the german embassy, on the grounds of the wat,its a 2 story wood building with the fire and steam below and steam piped up into the suana room on the 2nd floor , with massage available after you suana, I think its a little different than fin sauna, wood fire with a 55 gallon drum of water with herbs thrown in with the water and piped into the room, 50K kip for suana and massage, the massage is very good as well, unlimited time for suana, its really pretty good as all my friends in Laos like to go there occasionally, easy to find, any tuk tuk driver should know were its at and there were tuk tuks outside waiting for the return 40K kip from Fa ngum rd, or if you have a motorbike, take Fa Ngum rd downriver it turns left away from the river and continue straight on this same road, it deadends into a small traffic circle turn right, go to the third street to the left, turn left half a block, gate to the wat is on the left sauna is on a little dirt path directly before the gate to the left, open from 1pm to 8pm everyday they give you a surong to use and will store your clothes, lao staff is friendly and speak some english and french, you can drink free tea or buy a fruit shake there, its primitive but very enjoyable, callao

if coming from morning market area its on the road between the post office and the morning market striaght thru that same traffic circle, ONLY massage that fixed my sore back, about 1.5 kms from morning market, callao

Red Cross herbal sauna and massage in LP is very similar to the one described above, herbal steam coming up through the floor, and quite hot! You get a locker to stash yr street clothes and change into long sarong to wear in the herbal sauna. You can come and go in and out of the sauna as long as you like, then shower and off for a massage. Free herbal tea. When we visited the Red Cross in LP, it was quite busy and seemed to be a sort of a social hang-out place for the locals, very relaxed and friendly. Be careful entering the sauna as it is small and dark and there are likely to be other folks in there as well (separate saunas for men and women). A great bargain, too, but the massage was not the best we%26#39;ve had.

thanks for your posts, esspecially the previous one, this is exactely the information I wanted!
