Chang Heritage Hotel

Hi,

Has anybody stayed at the Chang Heritage hotel? I%26#39;m wondering if it%26#39;s worth the price, over $150 for a Khan Suite? I%26#39;ve booked a room at the Ramayana but the reviews all mentioned the very loud street noises so we%26#39;re looking for alternatives.

Cheers,

Hi Pooky,

Just got on here myself to do some research. From your dates I assuming you are in Luang Prabang? I also was looking at the Chang. Any feedback or suggestions for someplace quiet, convenient and reasonable?

cheerio.

Chang Heritage Hotel

Hi taiwanne,

Yes I did spend 4 nights at the Chang Heritage and thought the hotel was very good. I recommend that you call their office in Bangkok and ask for a discount as we got quite a good reduction.

The location was very nice, quite peaceful with the Khan river in front and within easy walking distance to the old city part of Luang Prabang.

Check out my review of the Chang Heritage here on TA.

Cheers,

Wow! Thanks for such a quick reply. Used the link to go to their site. Lovely place. Bit pricey for me at the moment since I%26#39;m travelling in peak season. Could you also let me know the contact info in Bangkok? Perhaps I could splurge for a couple of days if I can get a discount.

Cheers.

There should be a contact page for their web site. Here%26#39;s the information:

I traveled there during the peak season too and I got the price for their top suite down to $175 net with an extra bed and breakfast for 3. They also included the airport transfers as well as the morning alms(for the monks) for us.

While I was there I looked at La Residence Phou Vao, 3 Nagas, Villa Santi and I thought the price they charge for the Chang Heritage was much better than the other places I%26#39;ve mentioned.

I took some pictures and if you would like to see click on the Luang Prabang gallery from the link below:

Good luck and I hope you will enjoy LP!

I contacted the Chang Heritage Hotel with my dates and they offered me the Khan Suite at $210 per night for the four days we%26#39;re in Luang Prabang. And requested 50% of the total tariff deposited in their bank account immediately. Decided to pass.
