Gday spending 18 days in Laos next month,travelling around.Is it the same money wise as Cambodia.Everything in US DOLLARS,or do you cahnge money into local currency.Also gonna spend the 1st 2 days in Vientiane,reccomend any cheap accomadation,not fussy as long as its clean,good service,maybe tv as well.Im basing it on Phnom Phen prices,about $15-20.

Money is in kip, Baht or USD. Baht and USD for higher priced items. The Govt and locals would prefer that you use kip, after all it is the official currency.
