hanoi to laos

hi,

was wondering if there is anyway of getting from hanoi over to laos? also our other option of getting from either siem reap or phnom penh up to laos is either possible?

Hanoi to Laos is 24-36 hours on the bus, a journey I hear most would never do again. Best to fly if you can afford it.

If you are coming up from Cambodia, then cross the border, go to Si Phan Don, Pakse and then fly or bus to Vientiane.
