Temperature now -- at night ??

Anyone who is in LP now -- what%26#39;s the temperature at night and during the day? I want to make sure we bring sweaters/jackets if we%26#39;re going to need them for mid January.

Thanks !!

Temperature now -- at night ??

Hi - I was in LP 2 weeks ago and at night you could use a jacket - maybe down to 10 degrees. Oudomxai a bit further north was down to 6 deg at night.

Temperature now -- at night ??

Thank you !! Any new dinner recommendations in town ??

Yes, hello anyone in LP now..how about daytime temps? I%26#39;ve gotten lots of contradictory info. Warm enough to do any water activities? Thanks!

As previously posted, several weeks back it was quite cold at night but now it%26#39;s not nearly as cold but still requires a jacket or jumper. Sometimes at night it really does get quite cold so it%26#39;s best to be prepared. Even the mornings have been quite cool to cold requiring something for warmth until it starts to warm up around 9:30 or 10. By 11am and usually by noon it%26#39;s warm enough for just a T-shirt and shorts but it cools off in the evenings again.

tainwanne--oh, almost forgot, yes, no problems. It%26#39;s warm enough for swimming activities in the late morning to late afternoon. Just bring a jacket to the waterfalls in case it cools off in the early evenings coming back from Kuangsi.

jenskar--not really new since it%26#39;s already 1 year old but a French Lao chef opened an upscale restaurant along mainstreet called Arisai. Serves mainly French provencal food but some fusion too. Very nice setting with a good selection of wines (and some very nice wine glasses too!).

thanks seagypsy. i live in taiwan and according to the weather underground, our temps are similiar to lao. still,it%26#39;s hard to know unless one is actually there. will pack a light sweater and jacket. b.t.w. tried out any cooking classes?
